El Mantra es una palabra o una frase, generalmente en sánscrito (man – mente, tra – protección) que se repite para meditar, sosegar o enfocar la mente. El “Mantra” de Fresán es todo lo contrario, con la vibración de “Martín Mantra” ( que debía llamarse Máximo, palabra con x) nos muestra una pintura agitada, violenta, a veces angustiada del DF mexicano (con x) hecha por encargo, por un escritor argentino. A veces apasionante, desconcertante y oscura en otros, mantiene un suspenso que no cede hasta el final.
