Marguerite Duras – El amante

Hoy se cumplen 13 años de la muerte de Marguerite Duras.Una mujer que nació para escribir y vivió a través de lo que escribía.

“Marguerite Duras saltó en un instante del principio al final de su vida pero, en la breve duración de ese instante, hizo lo que quería hacer: écrire. Escribir.

Escribía y amaba lo que escribía hasta la obsesión. Ella misma se preguntaba qué era aquella necesidad mortal que había conseguido que viviera en un mundo paralelo al de los demás y que fuera existiendo cada vez menos porque todo, su esencia, se lo entregaba a la escritura devoradora. A los quince años le dijo a su madre que lo único que quería hacer en la vida era narrar y se preguntaba sinceramente qué hacía con su tiempo la gente que no escribía porque ella había llegado a pasar por el tamiz de la literatura incluso los recuerdos más dolorosos”. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Muy pronto en mi vida fue demasiado tarde. A los dieciocho años ya era demasiado tarde. Entre los dieciocho y los veinticinco años mi rostro emprendió un camino imprevisto. A los dieciocho años envejecí. No sé si a todo el mundo le ocurre lo mismo, nunca lo he preguntado. Creo que me han hablado de ese empujón del tiempo que a veces nos alcanza al transponer los años más jóvenes, más gloriosos de la vida. Ese envejecimiento fue brutal. Vi cómo se apoderaba de mis rasgos uno a uno, cómo cambiaba la relación que existía entre ellos, cómo agrandaba los ojos, cómo hacía la mirada más triste, la boca más definitiva, cómo grababa la frente con grietas profundas. En lugar de horrorizarme, seguí la evolución de ese envejecimiento con el interés que me hubiera tomado, por ejemplo, por el desarrollo de una lectura. Sabía, también, que no me equivocaba, que un día aminoraría y emprendería su curso normal. Quienes me conocieron a los diecisiete años, en la época de mi viaje a Francia, quedaron impresionados al volver a verme, dos años después, a los diecinueve. He conservado aquel nuevo rostro. Ha sido mi rostro. Ha envejecido más, por supuesto, pero relativamente menos de lo que hubiera debido. Tengo un rostro lacerado por arrugas secas, la piel resquebrajada. No se ha deshecho como algunos rostros de rasgos finos, ha conservado los mismos contornos, pero la materia está destruida. Tengo un rostro destruido. Diré más, tengo quince años y medioâ€¦.
